1st Local Preachers Meeting

I attended my first Local Preachers meeting last night where I was accepted to go on trial. I should have been before but I was in hospital so could not attend. I enjoyed it very much. We had a lovely time of worship together and shared in communion. There are some lovely people there who are so friendly and helpful. A fellow student has given me some really useful information on assignments and it was good to talk to her about the studies. I wish we closer together so that we could share more often. As they say its good to talk.

I was pleased to find out that for the first six months my mentor will come round with me so I shall still have my comfort blanket for a while longer. I wrote my next sermon yesterday and it came along really quickly. After the last one which I wrestled with this came as very pleasant surprise. I expect that they are all different depending on the passage of scripture and how you feel at the time of writing.
