2nd Sermon

Lots of news today. I have finished my second sermon, and I have a date for my operation.
The sermon has been maturing slowly in my brain. It is very early for May but as I have to go into hospital I thought I better make a start. I pick my text, then cogitate on it for a while making notes and having ideas at the gym. I wonder if hamsters have brilliant ideas on their treadmills?
Anyway after a few weeks of thought, it gets to a point when I can no longer hold back, I have to write something down. Its like laying an egg. After the effort of laying it, then comes the hard work of looking after it. It needs toning to perfection and practicing endlessly before the day. I hope the time spent gets shorter. If I were paid a decent wage for this by the hour I would be a wealthy woman. Anyway its done and I can go into hospital knowing that the hard work is all there and I shall be recovered enough to finish it when I recover.
My date for the op is Tuesday 10th April. Quite good actually. I to go to the theatre tonight with my Mother and it would be disappointing not to go. I shall manage to be at church on Easter day and have the family for lunch so all that is good, and I should be better to do the next allotted service which is on the 22nd where I am doing everything except the sermon. This too is prepared so I am all set. I shall try to write something else before Tuesday but can't say when I shall write after.
